A step-by-step guide for secure,leak-free connections.
1.Confirm Compatibility&Prepare
Check Ports:Verify inlet/outlet thread specs(e.g.,G,NPT,or quick-connect)match your pipes/joints.
Clean Thoroughly:Wipe ports and joints to remove oil residue, rust,or debris.
Gather Tools:Prepare thread seal tape(PTFE),a wrench,and a clean cloth.
2.Connect Suction Pipe(Inlet)
Assemble the suction pipe sections if needed.
For threaded joints:Wrap 2–3 layers of PTFE tape clockwise on male threads, leaving 1–2 threads exposed to prevent tape from entering the line.
Attach the suction pipe to the pump’s inlet port:Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench for a firm,leak-proof seal(avoid over-tightening to protect threads).
Insert the free end into the oil source, ensuring it reaches near the bottom(leave 2–3 inches if debris is present).
3.Connect Delivery Pipe(Outlet)
Attach the delivery pipe to the pump’s outlet port using the same method(PTFE tape+hand-tighten+wrench finalize).
For quick-connect joints:Insert the male fitting into the female port until you hear a“click”and pull to confirm locking.
Route the delivery pipe to the target container/equipment.
4.Prime&Test
Prime the Pump:For initial use,add a few drops of oil to the inlet to aid priming.Rotate the handle 3–5 times to expel air until oil flows steadily.
Check for Leaks:Run the pump briefly;inspect all joints.Tighten any loose connections if needed.
Key Notes
Safety:Keep away from open flames;ensure good ventilation.
Material Match:Ensure pump and pipes are compatible with the oil type(e.g.,gasoline,diesel,hydraulic oil).
Maintenance:Inspect seals/tape regularly;replace worn parts promptly.
This process ensures reliable operation and prevents leaks. For specific models, always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.
