Oil leakage is a common fault of manual oil pumps.It mainly occurs at pipe joints,shaft seals,gaskets and pump body.Below are detailed causes and solutions.
Common Causes of Oil Leakage
The sealing rings,leather cups and gaskets inside the pump are aged,worn or deformed,resulting in poor sealing performance.
Loose threaded connections and pipe joints of the pump body.
Cracks or damage on the pump shell.
Damaged outlet valve and sealing gasket.
Excessive oil filling causes high internal pressure.
Large clearance between internal parts due to long-term wear.
Troubleshooting Solutions
Replace aged,worn sealing rings,leather cups and gaskets in time.
Tighten all loose threaded joints and connecting parts.
Clean impurities at interfaces and reseal with thread seal tape.
Replace damaged gaskets and outlet valve components.
Check pump body for cracks.Replace the whole pump if it is severely cracked.
Operate the hand crank at a steady speed.Do not rotate violently to avoid excessive internal pressure.
